ABOUT THE GROUP

The Carleton University Tailings Research Group  is directed by Professor Paul Simms. Students, postdoctoral fellows, research engineers, and collaborating researchers work to accelerate reclamation of mine tailings  impoundments and to reduce the risk of severe impacts from existing facilties. Research is supported through industry partnerships and Canadian granting agencies (NSERC, CFI).
